This is a painting I just completed of the sun starting to set. A view from the West side of Wolfe Island. (by Kingston, ON), While driving along a sideline road, we came across a coyote walking through field, leading us to this beautiful spot. I loved the reflections of light on the ice patches between the snow.

This painting was done north east of Oshawa, ON on a beautiful fall day. 11 x 15" watercolour on black paper. Unframed This park has been one of my favorites for quite a while. Every year it seems to grow more beautiful. Large rocks converted to a waterfall fountain are at the focal point of the park Around it the gardens and structures formed around the fountain. Absolutely beautiful. Just south of the circles of flowers overlooks the Scarborough Bluffs. When we first arrived at the boat launch, the Blue Heron seemed to be a statue. It stood at the end of the dock looking down into the water and did not move for quite a few minutes. He started moving after awhile, preening, flapping his wings and scratching but never moved from the end of the dock. There were many ducks that came to gather around him and entertain him and those around. Beautiful area that I will have to return to and do some painting,
My friends Patty ad Linda treated me for a cruise of the Toronto Island and Harbourfront for my birthday. Great views of the City of Toronto. It was a great day, cold but a good wind for sailing. Test Post4/2/2012 Don't you just love spring! The start of new cycles of nature. A good time to launch my website. It has been a long time since I have had a website up showing my paintings.
This painting was inspired by the many apple blossom trees in High Park, Toronto. According to the online High Park Forum, the trees are already budding. I plan to go to High Park with my camera, sometime this week, to hopefully capture the trees blossoming. Maybe some inspiration for a new painting. Carole RobitailleCAROLER'S ART DIARY Categories
