Went for a few months without drawing or painting, which was very abnormal for me.
Got my muse back while staying at my sister's and enjoying her beautiful gardens.
Also a beautiful drive north of here to catch some fall colours.

Now a Bit of Something Different

I haven't been keeping up with my blog or even doing any paintings during my recent illness, Time to fight it off by doing something different to inspire me to get back to my love.
These are are a new series that I started last fall. They start as a continuous swirling line, very free flowing, based on music, impulse, intuition or theme
From there I look for images and colour spaces created to complete painting.

It was quite an exciting and overwhelming honour and encouragement for me. I never dreamed my artwork would reach the eyes of the world and be recognized as a Master artist. I don't know where this will take me, but I am looking forward to a great future in art and ready for the ride.

Latest fall painting
STOP AND JUST LISTEN

I started this painting about 6 years ago. Had just a rough base down. I decided to finished it off as a fall scene. Its one of my largest paintings and quite a challenge to work on a large canvas in limited working space.
Alternate title...Waiting for Rustle

Fall in Southern Ontario

I had been out painting plein aire and at home trying to capture some of the glorious colours of the trees here in the fall. My favourites are the maples and white birch. These are what I have come up with so far.
