A BURST OF SPRING - ACRYLICS

 I spent a lovely afternoon with a good friend Mary-Jane to help her with a painting of soft abstract like flowers. 
We played with flowing acrylic colours in  layers.  Each layer helped to define the flowers in a soft abstract like way and fine silk flower petals were embedded into the layers to add 3D effect.  
We were both pleased with the outcome.  This one reminded me of the colours of spring and the bright new flowers that start bursting open  everywhere.  I love spring for its freshness, renewal of warmth and sunlight, the fresh new greens and beautiful flowers and blossoms .
