BUSY BEE -  Little friend from "Edward's Gardens"   short clip

Transformation of the periodical cicada from the mature nymph to the adult  - Edward Gardens

Aug 13th, 2013.  I had spent the day at Edward's Gardens, painting with some friends.  I was very fortunate to be able to capture this cicada emerging from its mature nymph stage to adult.  I started taking the pictures at  1:32 pm and finished when my camera battery died at 3:27.  I took other pictures until 4:00 with my itouch but there was not many changes.
Hope you enjoy my slideshow.   Thanks  Carole Robitaille.        All images are property of Carole and copies are not permitted without permission.

Monarch butterfly, Black Swallowtail butterflies, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterflies

These were taken at Rosetta McClain Gardens, Kingston Road, east of Birchmount, Toronto, ON.  Added a bee and pigeon for variety.

HBeetle - on Silver Maple Tree - Rosetta McClain Gardens

Not sure the name of this big little guy.  The closest I saw as a TRICERATOPS BEETLE.  Let me know if it is wrong.

Slide show above is of a coyote on Wolfe Island, On. I followed it as it walked along and away from us.   It brought us to a lovely spot that I ended up making a painting of.  Thank you Mr. Coyote

Blue Heron

These pictures were taken near Dunnfield, ON.  My friend Dianne C. spotted it while we drove by and when we went back to the area, we fournd our model.
He stood there long enough for me to take these pictures.
