Whitby Beach 6 x 8"Oil pastels6/30/2016 I painted this one while sitting outside of gazebo south Whitby, ON. I had been complaining to a friend that there seemed to be less and less areas that we can drive up to beach and enjoy waterfront. A lot of the areas that I used to stop my car and do quick studirs are no longer there. I was pleased to see this area is still open.

Peonies paintings6/28/2016 Peonies are one of my favorite flowers. Oshawa has a beautiful Peony garden downtown at the arena. So many beautiful varieties. I started painting them again this year. small canvases using oil pastels.
I watched this group of children playing hide and seek in Rosette McLain Park ( off Kingston Rd east of Warden) last year. I did a small painting while sitting there. I just finished this larger version of kids hiding along with faces hiding in the trees and leaves.
This one is my most recent painting. I have, luckily, been into a painting spree. Trying to paint every day possible.
This is a oil pastel on a 24 x 24" gallery deep panel. "Along the River" I have spent many times trying to photograph these beautiful, huge birds. This one the scenery was made up and I used a reference pic for the Blue Heron Comments welcomed. Purchase encouraged Carole RobitailleCAROLER'S ART DIARY Categories
