Field of Flowers by Carole Robitaille This is a painting I just completed. I started in the fall and after studying it for awhile, I highlighted and enhanced the flowers, the foreground and the clouds near the horizon. It was originally painted by the roadside near Dunnville, On. It was a beautiful fall day and the farmer's field filled with white flowers caught my eyes as I was driving by. Too good not to stop and paint. I am happier with the painting now.

This are only a few of the pictures taken from the Opening Ceremony of the Don Valley Art Club on Sunday April 28th.
It was a great show - many beautiful paintings at great prices. The show is still on until next Sunday afternoon, May 5. For more pictures from the show please click here - DVAC Spring show pictures Went to High Park this morning to check out the cherry blossom trees. It was a bit too early. The trees are in early budding stage. I think it will be another week or two before the trees are in full bloom. It was still a beautiful fresh day to be in the partk.
Goodbye Uncle Lou4/18/2013 Portrait of Naz4/12/2013 I had thught of possibly raising money by painting flowers on small stones and rocks. The idea that people can make up a bouquet of individual stone/rock flowers. Mixtures of different flowers or all of the same type in small groupings to make up a bouquet. Arrangements can be designed, photographed to show best set up and all sent out in a box or container or stone holder if desired. People can buy one to many to make up a bouquet. Additions made at any time. Stones/rocks are prepared with a base coat and then painted and when completed, spray varnished several times or if for out doors - painted varnish with UV protection. These were painted on small river rocks. Samples shown below.... Carole RobitailleCAROLER'S ART DIARY Categories
